It hits home...

It hits home...

This Boston terrorist attack...

Brigham & Women's/Children's Hospital is where our first daughter was born... 51 years ago. (And where I did my blood-flow rate experiments with Dr. Gorlin, for my MIT/Harvard thesis.)

Newbury Street is where I used to walk to from the dorms, the night before finals, have a steak at Newbury Steak House, then go to a movie. Never was I one to be uptight before finals ;-)

It's just coming across the news that Newtown parents were among the injured.

Nasty. But Obama will claim that, if AR-15's were banned, it wouldn't have happened. ...Jim Thompson

It's always about you, isn't it? People are dead, and you're bragging about steak dinners and how you handled Finals.

I have a feeling that years down the road the "real" truth will come out and blind followers are going to change their religion.

Yeah, people are maimed, dead, body parts flying through the air, and he gives us a boast and a smilie. That's beyond sick.

Better is to pass a law that anyone passing a weapons handling course can pack a UNCONCEALED revolver, another law that shooting at any terrorist like that will get a commendation and *guaranteed* lawsuit protection - as well as pass a recommendation that EVERY such qualified person "carry heat" at all times. Any asshole that *thinks* of going on a shooting spree will severely curtailed..

Probably some redneck hillbilly with excess furtilizer.

Moron. Never heard of body armour? And how about that dude that used a smoke grenade before starting to shoot? I'd like to hear how you aim if you can't see who you're supposed to shoot. The bottom line is: people who want to kill lots of other people carefully plan their devious acts.

I think AZ law is written just like that, so a CCW permit means exactly "concealed". Otherwise, if carrying, it must be out in the open.

Only after right wing political hack wannabies will, once again, try to turn a terrorist attack to their own political advantage.

No it's all about you being the judge of how people should and should
not react to tragedy.

Jim's recalling events in his life which occurred in the vicinity of
the atrocity makes him no more of a bad guy than those who recall
where they were when Kennedy was killed.

A douche is a bad thing, why?

If you could understand sarcasm and read between the lines, you'd
understand that Jim was stating that this tragedy will give Obama fuel
to further his, or his handlers', political aims.

Doubtful it's international terrorism, they would have claimed credit for i t by now. The truth be known, there is not enough law enforcement in the wo rld to police a country as large as the U.S., not even close. Couple that w ith the very large number, and growing, of disaffected people, and this pla ce is going to come apart at the seams.
