4-way junction matrix

With a standard crosspoint switch there is only one switch per junction that latches the row and column intersecting the junction.

Are there devices similar to crosspoints(for analog audio and video) that have a 4-way junction?

where each / is a switch.

This way much more complex routing can take place.

Google "crosspoint analog switch". I suspose you might also be able to use a 4-quandrant multiplier, (again, Google), but not sure if that'll work for your application. Note also: Haven't done these sorts of designs in a LONG time. Probably something better out there by now. (?) Offering the above keywords only in the hope it points you in the right direction. Good luck.

A crosspoint has one switch per junction. Once you connect enable the switch it connects the row to the column. With a 4-point switch per junction you connect a row segment to a column segment. They will only be effective for a large number of junctions.

Simply assign all your inputs AND outputs to rows of the switch. Then use the columns as junction busses to interconnect two rows via just two switches. If one switch component does not have enough rows then add another one alongside and connect the column pins between the two parts. It the setup does not have enough columns to support the number of simultaneous connections that you desire then put another switch component alongside and buss the row connections to both parts.
