Mythbusters: Bug Special

" Adam and Jamie take a crack at a bee-related myth based on a viral video. They test whether 1000 honey bees are capable of lifting a laptop. Following this, the Build Team checks out one of the most demanded myths from the fans. This is based on the popular theory that since water refracts light, it would confuse flies' compound eyes. Finally, the team investigates whether a person riding a motorcycle at high speed can be killed if he impacts a bug. "

Should be a real buzzzzzzzzz ....

** The show was just as entertaining as ever.

Science was made palatable to the great unwashed and lotsa neat facts were demonstrated.

Eg:

Getting two bees to co-operate is like herding cats.

Tiny, RC helicopters and bees have a lot in common.

And always wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle at 200 mph.

Or the bugs will kill ya.

,

That fly one reminds me of years ago where people believed that putting plastic bottles of water around your yard either kept dogs out, or stopped them crapping in your yard

Maybe should send that to Mythbusters for when they need a filler....
